Steps to ordering

  1. Order sample and select product.
  2. Select the design and placement.
  3. Receive a formal estimate.
  4. Sign the estimate to begin the order.

Step 1: Order sample and select product.

If you don’t know exactly what you want, let our specialist help you with ideas. You can even order samples of product if you’d like to see it first. If cost is driving your product selection, then let us know that and we can help you find the right product within your budget.

Step 2: Select the design and placement.

We can place your logo, name, or message on the item. Each item has a maximum imprint size and we will ensure the design fits the item you selected. You must also pick a color to imprint. Some products come with a standard ink color and some you are able to pick one to match your business, organization, or event colors. There may be additional charges for this.

If you don’t have a design, Mountain Top Designs can design and/or typeset your design. See some designs we have created for promotional products.

Whether we create the design or you have a design, we will work with you to get the placement that looks the best for the product you have chosen. Art must be in camera-ready format (vector). To qualify as camera-ready, the computer file must be in these formats: .cdr (convert text to curves) version 11 or previous, .ai (convert text to outlines) version 9 , or .eps (convert text to outlines) (AI version 9).

If you art is not in one of these formats, you may submit it as: .pdf, .jpg, or .bmp. We can convert it to the right format. See Art Services for more info.

Step 3: Receive a formal estimate.

Your estimate will include style, color and sizes of the products you have chosen.

There will be setup fees and art charges if necessary (to convert art to vector art.)

The formal quote will provide a cost per product, which includes the imprinting of your design. Prices per piece will go down at higher quantities. The quote will also include shipping charges.

Many manufacturers also charge for overruns. They many print more than the order and therefore charge for more pieces. There is the possibility also that they run out of material and underrun an order. The typical under/over run limit is 5%.

Step 4: Sign the estimate to begin the order.

We will agree to a delivery date, and you will receive your order in that time. Standard times are usually 2 weeks from the receipt of the vector art and the order, but delivery times vary from product to product. Rush charges may apply.
